Stephen has been involved in the premium audit industry since the early mid 1980's. While in High School, Stephen began working with Crowell & Associates, Inc. as a file clerk, and in 1987, moved to Houston and started training as a Premium Auditor. He also trained to complete general liability inspections. After the passing of his father (Jim Crowell) in 1993, more administrative responsibilities were placed upon him. Stephen assisted Kelly with all technical and computer support, including worksheet design, desktops, laptops, and other devices support.
In mid 2001, Stephen completed courses at the SMU-School of Engineering and became certified in the CompTia A+, CompTia Network+, as well as; the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in Microsoft Windows 2000. He also completed various training on other software and hardware platforms, i.e., Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Exchange, Novell, Linux and Cisco. In mid 2002, Stephen came back on board with Crowell & Associates, Inc. as the Operations Manager with more emphasis on computer management.
In mid 2003, with the company's expansion, Stephen became the IT Manager/Systems Administrator, overseeing all servers, desktop, laptop and other devices implementation and support, as well as software and email installation and support. He also oversees all network design, support and installation. Stephen oversees design and implementation of all company templates and training of company employees on all computer and software related issues. He assists with database and website implementation and support. As of November 2003, Stephen became Vice President of Technology for Crowell & Associates, Inc.
Stephen is married to wife, Maya, a stay at home mom, who works much harder than him caring for their two children, Stevie and Emily. They have one dog "Bonnie". Stephen’s hobbies and interests include mountain bike riding, working on various projects around the house and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Accomplishments: Obtained Loss Control Certification in 1994, Officer and President of the Insurance Auditors Association of Dallas from 1998 to 2000, Obtained Certifications in MCSE-Windows 2000, Network+ and A+ in 2001.
